KS5 Curriculum (The 6th Form)  

 

Windsor School 6th form provides a wide range of courses, for students over the age of sixteen. The only entrance requirements to the 6th form are that students can benefit from the courses, if they are prepared to work and accept the behaviour contract.

Students hoping to follow a course leading to A levels awards require at least 5 GCSE passes at grade C or above with most subjects requiring a C in English and some a C in Maths. Some subjects require a minimum B pass at GCSE in the subject to be studied at AS Level.

Physical Education

Product Design
Psychology
Religious and Philsophical Studies
Theatre Studies
Film Studies
 
 
 
 
Courses are offered as AS and A2 courses in line with DFES statute.

Vocational courses are also available in Business, Health and Social Care and Sport.

Students taking one-year courses are sometimes able to consider returning to continue studies on a two-year basis.

All 6th form students take part in a course of personal and social development and general studies and are encouraged to be actively involved in the school community as its senior members. Much emphasis is also placed on preparation for the next stage in Further and Higher Education.
