Walkwood Positive Reinforcement and Rewards
|
-
Rewards are central to our behaviour policy.
-
Teachers will praise readily.
-
The Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team, Extended Leadership Team and Pastoral Managers are pleased to praise pupils' good work or behaviour when it is brought to their attention.
-
Above all, private praise and encouragement is given individually to pupils regularly in lessons and about their conduct in and about the school.

Governors' Awards
In addition to our merit awards, we also have Governor Awards to encourage pupils in their school work. In July, teachers nominate pupils who have tried hard and have progressed well, for a Governors' Award. Each work submission is accompanied with the teacher's written reason why the particular child's work is recommended for consideration. A panel of Governors then select twelve (usually) pupils for a certificate and book token.

These commendations are awarded fortnightly during assembly. The pupils below have earned a commendation from Mr Doubtfire.
Well done and keep up the good work!
