Introduction
Governor Services is presently offered by the LA as a means of advice, support and information to Governors and their Clerks. The service continues to offer this in relation to governing body constitution and procedures, dealing with grievances, complaints and appeals, setting up federations and a range of other ongoing governance issues that have arisen over the years.
Governing Bodies and their Clerks have access to a telephone or e-mail helpline as below and it is our aim to respond as soon as possible to all enquiries.
The service also administers and supports recruitment of new governors and maintains a database of all School Governors across the Island. For this we rely on a good line of communication with Clerks to Governors, who are responsible for notifying the Local Authority of Governor Appointments made under approved Election and Appointment Processes.
