Harvest Services
Thank you to all parents who came and donated to our Harvest Services.
Secondary School Applications reminder
The closing date for secondary school applications is Wednesday 31st October 2012, please make sure your return these to Reading Borough Council, Admissions by this date otherwise your child’s application will be treated as a late application.
Bude Meeting – Tuesday 23rd October at 6pm
Year 5 parents are invited to attend a meeting about the Year 6 trip to Bude in September 2013, today Tuesday 23rd October at 6pm. This is an exciting trip which happens at the beginning of Year 6 so please come along.
Book Fair
Please come along and have a look at the Book Fair. It will be in school from Tuesday 23rd October to Friday 26th October.
Leaving
This week we say goodbye to Miss Nagle as she starts her maternity leave. We wish her well and look forward to hearing the news of her arrival.

Eid Celebration – Thursday 25th October
At the end of the week Muslims across the world will be celebrating Eid Al Adha. We will mark this with a special assembly led by Year 5 on Thursday at 2pm, parents are welcome to attend. If the children would like to bring in some snacks or treats to share with their classes on Thursday we will share them before home time.
School uniform
Thank you to parents, the children are looking very smart in their school uniform.
Attendance & Lates
A big well done to everyone, the attendance in school has been excellent this term with many classes achieving 100% attendance for a week. Lates have also been improving so please keep up the good work!
Parents’ Evening Survey
Thank you to parents who have complete the survey given out at parents’ evening, more of you will get a chance this week when you attend, results to follow.
Break time
Reminder of the school’s policy for break time - Junior children should bring fresh fruit or vegetables to eat at break time. Please send it ready prepared in a named bag or box. Nursery and Infant children receive a daily portion of fruit or vegetables free of charge to eat at break time.
