Archway School

Archway School > Music at Archway School

Archway Music offers a variety of opportunities to the Archway community:

Curriculum:
Music is taught to all students in Years 7-9 as required by the National Curriculum.
Students may then opt to study music further for GCSE and A-level: we currently use the OCR syllabis.
Performing Arts is also available as an A-level course.

Instrumental & vocal tuition:
The school offers private tuition in Brass, Woodwind and Strings together with
Guitar, Piano, Voice and Drumkit & Percussion.

Extra-curricular activities:
Archway students are encouraged to develop their skills further outside the curriculum.
Singers may take part in our musical theatre productions and choral
participation is an
essential part of the
Christmas and Summer Concerts.
The Archway
Wind Band meets in the evening, allowing all members of the community to take part.
All
performers have a regular platform for performance in our regular series of Chamber Concerts.
