The ICT Faculty

ICT is taught to all pupils at Tupton Hall, from Year 7 to Year 11. OCR Applied ICT started in September 2009. The Key Stage 3 curriculum is broadly based on the new National Curriculum, with units of work developing with new ideas and initiatives.

At Key Stage 4, all students follow the Cambridge Nationals course, where between 1 and 4 GCSE equivalent grades can be achieved.  Edexcel GCSE ICT Double Award is studied as an option in 4 hours per week, with the remaining students taking the 1 award CORE in 1 hour per week sessions.

Other curriculum based initiatives include:

  • KS2/KS3 transition work with primary feeder schools
  • Cross curricular Schemes of work with PE
  • A full ICTAC (ICT across the Curriculum) programme
  • ECDL for staff, students and the Community
  • G and T programme

Resources for all courses are found in the relevant sections (links above left; FOR SCHOOL MEMBERS)
