School Council have surveyed all students and are drawing up a plan in a bid to applying for £5,000 to spend on encouraging safe and healthy travel to and from school.

Recognise your School Council members by their green and red badges and lanyards.

The e-forum is up and running! Log on to the school VLE (website) and have your say… Also we are looking for new moderators from years 9-13

The sixth form social room is being re-vamped, along with a designated area outside. Feedback from the Diary Room suggests that we need more seating outside, which we are planning to do.

Footage of the Diary Room coming soon on the big screens... Also previews will be shown here.

Student voice can be defined in many ways. In its widest sense, it would include every way in which students are allowed and encouraged to voice their views or preferences.

Student voice is mainly about how students come to play a more active role in their learning and of general school life. After all, it is the students school, and at SJLHS we feel that the students should have a say on how the school is run.

Student voice gives the students a voice. It lets them voice their opinions about the school in a democratic and civilised manner.
