The topic for the first half of this term is growing. The children will be learning about plants and flowers and what they need to grow. During next week we will be planting flowers & plants in the planters outside in the Foundation stage playground. We will also be looking at how our bodies grow and how animals grow.
As part of this topic we are asking children to take part in a planter challenge. All the children can take in a planter challenge at home. The challenge is to plant a flower or seed in any container, for example a wellington boot, empty ice cream container, empty plastic bottle. The children can bring them into school and watch them grow.
For the last two weeks of this half term will be learning about life cycles and will be looking at life cycles of butterflies and frogs.
