To help students to succeed in an information rich world. We want students to be independent, motivated learners who take pride in their work and are willing to try new technologies.

Key Stage 4 (KS4)

Topics covered by Years 10 and 11 studying GCSE ICT:

  • Single AiDA course
    • 100% coursework (no exams!)
    • Looks at how to produce a series of digital and printed documents.
    • Looks at how to analyse and process information.
    • Looks at how to carefully choose and use research
    • Students get the chance to investigate how different software can be used to produce the same result.
    • They then make informed choices in order to produce their coursework

          Key Stage 5 (KS5)

          Topices covered by Years 12 and 13 studying A Level Computing:

          • Computing
          • Programming – learn how and why!
          • Produce a substantial project!
          • Look at how the internals of a computer work.
          • And much, much more!
          • Students will get the chance to produce their own software product for a real user.
