Drug, Alcohol and Tobacco Education

BHCC, in partnership with schools and colleagues in the Health and Community and Voluntary Sector has developed a Curriculum Framework for Drug, Alcohol and Tobacco Education. This Curriculum Framework signposts schools to a range of resources and is continually being updated. Schools are invited to adapt this to meet the needs of pupils and to reflect the values and ethos of the school.

Many of the resources contained on this page have been developed by PSHE teachers in Brighton & Hove. Please check that all nationally and locally developed materials used are in keeping with your school drug, alcohol and tobacco education policy. In best practice schools pupils, parents and carers and school staff are involved in the development of the
drug, alcohol and tobacco education policy. Visit the guidance and advice page for further support on this.
