Staff Changes - 26 August 2008

As we begin the 2008-2009 school year we welcome with excitement two new members of staff.
Mrs. Sarah Walmsley to teach year 2 whilst Mrs. Lindley is on secondment with the local authority''s Special Needs team and we welcome Miss Grainne Cummins to teach Year 4 in the absence of Mrs Caines who is currently still unwell.
Both Miss Cummins and Mrs Walmsley have already shown great enthusiasm and commitment and we welcome them warmly.
Parents may wish to know that Miss McGrath will teach Year 1 this year - and is very much looking forward to her new role.
In the absence of Mrs Lindley, Mrs Pat Ainge will be Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for Lower School. Mrs Ainge has had senior management experience and is looking forward to her new role.
Alpha - what's it all about? - 04 October 2004

Alpha begins again in the autumn term. Parents and friends can choose either to join Schoolgate Alpha from about 1.45 to 3 p.m. in the Parish Centre every Wednesday afternoon or go to evening Alpha in the Centre on Thursday evenings. Evening Alpha begins with a free meal and is followed by video. Whichever you choose you will be sure of a warm welcome and the opportunity to listen, refect and gently share the Christian message without obligation of any kind. Life? So what''s it all about? Come and see.

We ask all parents to use the name of their child as username with a prefix of ems_name. Thus, John Smith in Y5 would be added to Y5 members as ems_johnsmith. If we add your email address you will receive regular school emails automatically. It is necessary to prevent unauthorised access that you provide school with a preferred password. Our Internet ethics policy does not allow us to post photographs of identifiable children without parental permission. One advantage of having ‘members’ is that we can place photographs of individual named children as only approved members, that is yourselves as parents, can access. If you wish to become a ‘member’ we can allow you access to a wider variety of information especially photographs of the children.
