e-Safety and Social Network Sites (eg. Facebook) -

How we protect the pupils accessing
Social Networking sites such as Facebook

 Social networking and personal publishing
  • The school will control access to social networking sites, and consider how to educate pupils in their safe use.
  • Newsgroups will be blocked unless a specific use is approved.
  • Pupils will be advised never to give out personal details of any kind which may identify them, their friends or their location.
  • Pupils and parents will be advised that the use of social network spaces outside school brings a range of dangers for primary aged pupils.

Our School has been awarded an 'Active Playground Award' with Distinction. We have also been featured as a case study in a National Publication - 'Learning Through Landscapes'.

We place a strong emphasis on outdoor learning and give children many opportunities to take advantage of our excellent facilities in the school grounds.

These facilities include an outdoor classroom, shop, play zone, shelters, buddy area and role play area.

School Re-organisation -

School Re-organisation

Suffolk County Council are re-organising their schools into a 2 tier system.  Our school is part of Phase 1 re-organisation and will become a 3-11 Years through primary school.

From September 2010, Year 5 pupils will stay with us and move onto Year 6 the following year.  Our pupils will transfer to the new South Lowestoft High School at the age of 11, making one transition.
