Mission Statement
We are a Catholic school. Through all our endeavours we aim to recognise the presence and power of Jesus Christ at the very centre of our existence. As we seek to fulfil the educational needs of the children we strive to live and act according to His will in all that we do and say. As we seek to live out the Gospel we will focus on our strengths and aspirations in the following areas of our life together :-
Curriculum
We will provide a balanced and spiritually based curriculum which fulfils all statutory requirements. We aim to help each child experience success and to reach their full potential by providing the highest possible standard of education.
Worship
We will help children to participate in the worship of the parish community and to grow in their own relationship with God by planning opportunities to gain experience in worship appropriate to their age and understanding.
Communications and Relationships within the School Community
We will help each member of the school community to recognise that we are all precious in God’s eyes. We will show love and respect for each other. We will give to each other the affirmation we all need and will try to respond to each other’s needs.
Parents
For the effective education of our children there must be a creative partnership between parents and school which recognises our different responsibilities in the education of the children.
We will try to communicate fully with all parents so that a bond of trust will be established on which we will build a partnership to nurture the children’s learning, their spiritual development and their pastoral care.
Parish
Our school is an integral part of the parish. We aim to continue and develop our active role in the worshipping community. Through the education of our children we will give witness in the whole parish community to the Christian values on which our work is based.
Local Community
We aim to be an integral part of the local community.
We aim to increase the children’s awareness of wider world issues.
We aim to be a witness for Jesus to the whole community through service, proclamation and invitation.
