Toward The Olympics (KS 3+4)
Students
from over 60 schools in the UK, China and Hong Kong are collaborating
on an Olympic themed project, whilst learning Mandarin/English. Pupils
are developing work on the Olympic Ideals, Olympism, and the social,
cultural, economic and environmental impacts of the 2008 Beijing
Olympics.
Our Future (KS 2+3)
A
groundbreaking project for pupils of all ages - sharing their thoughts
and developing collaborative work on how their world will change in the
future. Students are invited to add content to their own time capsule,
design a transport infrastructure and develop resource issues.
Students
from around the world share their own experiences of the effects of
climate change. They are challenged to develop their own strategies for
addressing climate threats and suggest behavioural changes and actions
to be made. Experts in their field support and mentor the pupils.
Design & Architecture (KS 2+3)
This
will be a business enterprise running each half term from March 2008.
Students will be supported in designing and marketing a building using
2 point perspective in combination with spreadsheet and graphical
modeling. They
will be working with architects and designers in a realistic scenario
with strict deadlines and penalties for late completion of project
goals.

NASA: To the Moon and Beyond... (KS 2+3) This
will be a ground breaking project celebrating Mankind’s achievements
over the 50 since the launch of NASA. It will be launched in 2008 to
tie in with NASA’s 50th anniversary and will include
learners from the USA, the UK and China. Pupils and teachers will have
access to NASA staff online.
 Healthy Eating (KS 2)
This
is an international project looking at the food we eat, where it
originates from and its affect on us as consumers. The children around
the world will be growing, eating, cooking and discussing diet and
exercise, sharing their diets and customs.
