I am a border collie. We are very smart dogs we like to do things all the time, I never get tired, I can run and jump all day long. I like to play games and I can do lots of tricks. Last summer I was in a dog show I came third and won a rossette. I am a very special dog.
My birthday is in the summer and I am four years old. I was born on a farm near Brighton. My mum, my aunty and my grandad all live there but I never met my dad, he lives on a different farm. My mum and all my family are sheep dogs they work very hard. They are busy all day with the farmer.
When we were 8 weeks old my brothers and sisters all left home to live with new families and I was left on my own. My mum went back to live with the other farm dogs and I was put in a cage on my own at night. I got a bit lonely at first.
Nobody wanted me, I stayed at the farm on my own until I was 16 weeks old. I don't know what happens to puppies that nobody wants. I don't like to think about that.
The farmer put another advert in the newspaper and at last there was somebody for me! I was so pleased when Trish came to take me home. I don't sleep in a shed like my mum I sleep on a sofa! I don't have sheep to look after, I look after Trish. I take her for walks and play ball with her. Trish is very happy living with me!
