Conscientious caretaker cleans up with top award!
We were very proud when Mr Harris, our school caretaker, won the East Sussex Caretaker of the Year Award 2011. Mr Harris, who is excellently supported in his work by his wife Mrs Harris, was presented with a silver salvo as well as a cup to keep for the year at the recent East Sussex Caretaker conference.
Mr Harris had been nominated for the award for his excellent contribution to our school for both cleaning and maintaining the building to a high standard each day. Children from each class contributed poems, writing or pictures to a scrap book which highlighted what an amazing job he does for the school.
At the awards ceremony he was surprised even further when Mrs Ham and some children from the school joined him to celebrate his achievement.
We are very proud of both Mr and Mrs Harris and thank them for all they do to maintain our school to such a high standard.
