At Heath we aim to give all our pupils the chance to develop the skills and attitudes that will set them up to be effective learners- not only while they are at school, but throughout their lives in 21^st century Britain. For this they need to have an enquiring mindset, to be able to persist when things get challenging, to be able to work co operatively as well as on their own and to have good technical skills including a good level of competence in ICT.

We believe that we can best achieve all this in co operation with parents and carers who are, after all, the people who know their children best. Right from the outset we operate what we call an ‘open door’ policy. This means that we welcome you in our school -whether you need a word with myself or the class teacher, whether you can help out in any way or whether it is by sharing learning experiences with your child.
